DRIVING ASSESSMENT
Our team of Occupational Therapists and Approved Driving Instructors provide a comprehensive assessment of ability to drive, with advice and information on any adaptations necessary.
We may undertake a physical, visual, cognitive and perceptual assessment before proceeding to the Static Assessment Rig (left). The Static Assessment Rig will provide information including reaction speeds, visual scanning, steering ability and braking strength and can be fitted with adaptations if necessary.

Once ensuring that it is safe to do so, we would then progress on road for an in-car drive with an Approved Driving Instructor in one of our dual control adapted manual/automatic vehicles for a drive around a designated course.
We would then discuss with the client the results of the Assessment, including any recommendations. A written report will then be produced for the client (or referring agency) and if appropriate, a copy may be sent to their GP and any other relevant agency. The duration of an assessment is approximately 2.5 hours.
Clients may refer themselves or may be referred by DVLA, Access to Work, BLESMA, SSAFA, Motability, Solicitors, Insurance Companies, Social Services etc. 0
